Minutes of Meeting held on the 16/9/08
At Silvan Australia.
Meeting opened at 1.05pm.
Apologies:

Previous Minutes:
Passed – Carl Heymar.

Presidents Report:
Tony gave an over view of the Turf conference.
Tony said a big thank you to Lindsay Tomlinson for his help and stated that we had 54 registered delegates for the turf conference.
Tony discussed the possibility of a two day training session next year run by John Deere.
All of next year’s meetings have been accounted for.
Secretaries Report:
Greg wishes to thank Lindsay and Tony for their efforts in organizing a successful conference.
A request was made again for articles for both the V.T.E.T.A. newsletter and the Turfgrass Journal.
Treasurers Report:
The books have been audited and are all up to date.
We have received invoices from the A.G.C.S.A. to pay.
We have received some income from our sponsors.
There will be some small conference items still to pay.
The audit report was read.
Passed by John Haines and seconded by Gary Lay.
Business Arising:
All four meeting and training days for the 2009 year are in place.
John Deere will be hosting a two or three day training school.

Lindsay Tomlinson gave an overview report on the conference.
Mathew Sherry asked for new membership follow up letters.
Damian McCormick said he will take on the roll of following up with new members.
Tim Magee suggested that a draft copy of the newsletter be sent to advertisers to be proof read.
It was noted that the Ag power add is to be removed from the newsletter. I.e. Jacobsen.
Lindsay suggested dates to be put in the A.G.C.S.A. calendar for meetings in 2009.
Tony thanked all the sponsors including those in the newsletter.
