Hi everyone,
I’d just like to thank Silvan again for providing a fantastic venue for our AGM this year...
Thanks to all the speakers as well, Jonathon Pearson for his well informed talk on nozzles and the great demonstration including showing us their hand held wind portable weather station.
Andrew Snape gave a very interesting talk on spreaders and the new technologies that are coming into that market which Silvan seem to be at the forefront importing Bogballe 3pl mounted spreaders which Im hoping to demo 1 very soon.
Then we had a cuppa and if you were lucky you got a Timtam and got back into it with Peter Smith then showed us their range of H2o products including down pipe filtration systems for catching rainwater and their water diverter system which I found quite interesting.
Also thanks to Sophie McCarthy for the great tour of the new facilities, it is a huge step up from the previous facilities and there’s plenty of room for further expansion.
In keeping with tradition, Steven Lelli presented the Turf Technician of the year award to Dom and I believe there would be very few people more deserving if any of such an award so congratulations Dom.
Also with keeping with tradition, Silvan put on a fantastic BBQ lunch where we all got to sit and have a bit of a chat to their staff as well as each other.
Lunch was followed up by our AGM where Tony was re-elected as President, Steve was elected as Vice President, Greg returns to his now traditional job as Secretary and John as Treasurer.
