Welcome to our final newsletter edition for the 2008 season. Our recent AGM meeting was held at Silvan Australia, Dandenong.
This was our first AGM at Silvan’s new location. The first introduction for the day was presented by Jonathan Pearson talking about nozzle technology within the turf industry.
Our second presentation for the morning was introduced by Andrew Snape who talked about Bogballe spreaders focusing on precision and opportunities for turf management.
Following Andrew’s presentation Peter Smith gave us insight into the present H20 filters that we are currently working with in all water management applications.
Sophie McCarthy gave us an overview and a great tour of the operations that was hosted at the new premises in Dandenong.
After a great lunch the General Manager of Silvan – Mr Steven Lelli presented the prestigious Turf Technician of the Year Award.
Congratulations to Dominic Greco from The Eastern Golf Club a great achievement and well deserved.
We concluded with the AGM Meeting. Firstly, to Luke Spartalis, John Phelan, Greg Stringer & Lindsay Tomlinson an extended thankyou for all your support throughout the year and especially the input and hard work the committee put into the National Turf Grass Conference. I would like to welcome a new Committee Member – Steve Ingram from Green Acres Golf Club as our new Vice President. Our retiring Vice President – Luke Spartalis will still continue to operate our website. Thanks again Luke for all your hard work especially on the website.
To all our members thankyou for your attendance to meetings throughout the year. Next year promises to be even more informative at our meeting days.
