Minutes of Meeting held on the 3/6/08
At Agpower
 
 
Meeting opened at 1.50pm.
 
Apologies:
Gary Lay, Stephen Hall, Bill Le Page, Mark Hyde, and Luke Spartalis.
 
Previous Minutes:
Passed – Steve Ingram.
Seconded – Carl Heymar.
 
Presidents Report:
Tony inquired if every body received their newsletter.
Tony discussed the welding day at B.O.C. and stated that attendance was good.
There will be another day run as interest was shown by members.
Both V.T.E.T.A. and conference shirts were ordered and are being handed out.
Tony asked for the delegates to wear the conference shirts at the conference.
The V.T.E.T.A. banner is in the process of having the Australian part removed and then will be ready to set up at the conference.
Tony suggested that the committee meet before the conference.
Lindsay Tomlinson was thanked for all his efforts in setting up the conference.
 
Secretaries Report:
Greg commented on an excellent day at B.O.C. with a great turnout for members.
The request was made for any photos, write ups etc. to be passed on to the committee for magazines/newsletters etc.
Greg asked for any information or articles that could be included into the “Australian Turfgrass Journal.”
 
Treasurers Report:
Currently funds are well and healthy with good membership.
Recent outgoings were for Polo shirts, caps etc.
 
Business Arising:
Tony Hopcraft asked for a show of hands for those wishing to attend another B.O.C. training day.
He stated that there were already 7 members interested and decided to run it on a Tuesday.
Tony discussed possible dates for the A.G.M. and asked members for their input.
Tony will liaise with Silvan Australia to confirm dates.
The members were asked about ideas or topics to be run at the A.G.M.
Carl Heymar said that Glenmac maybe a possibility.
Damien  McCormack inquired about computer programs for servicing of machines.
Lindsay Tomlinson stated the Toro used to have a program.
A general discussion on computer run servicing programs was held.
Lindsay Tomlinson stated possible dates in September to hold the A.G.M. and noted school holiday dates.
It was noted that Mick Fairweather will be moving on and wishes to thank the association.
Lindsay Tomlinson ran through conference details and stated what he has organized with presentations, tours etc.
Lindsay Tomlinson thanked Tim Magee for his attendance despite his busy schedule.
