Welcome to our third edition for the 2008 season. Our most recent get together was held at the 24th National Turf Grass Conference in Melbourne.
During the 4 day conference we experienced a very busy program for the Turf Mechanics stream that was put in place for our interstate delegates to come down and be involved in a sensational setting.
Judging by our record amount of delegates the whole conference was well absorbed. The Victorian Turf Technician’s Association would like to thank everybody involved who help set up the conference. A big thankyou goes out to our major sponsors that not only supported us during the year but also their involvement during the conference.
To all our guest speakers on their presentations and everybody who contributed towards the Turf Mechanics stream, we thankyou immensely.
To our Conference Chairman, Lindsay Tomlinson who put in a great amount of energy and time so that things rang smoothly we thank you.
To our Committee, Luke Spartalis – Vice President, John Phelan – Treasurer, and Greg Stringer – Secretary a huge achievement by all for the Conference Program.
We hope our delegates enjoyed our Technicians stand at the trade show as well.
Members who were unable to attend the conference will have the opportunity to catch up at our AGM Meeting held at Silvan Australia on the 16th September 2008, 244-264 Greens Road, Dandenong South.
We hope to see everybody there for the big Turf Equipment Technician Award which will be presented by the General Manager of Silvan – Steven Lelli.
For all our members do not forget to hand in your Turf Technicians Award Form for your Superintendent’s or Managers to fill in.
